Sassuolo's star striker Gianluca Scamacca who was already a goalscorer at the San Siro against AC Milan and also against Inter, is followed by the two Milanese clubs among others.
A report by Calciomercato.com claims that the Nerazzurri have "moved first" for the 23-year-old attacker, formerly at Genoa and PEC Zwolle among other clubs. The Rossoneri's sporting director, Frederic Massara, has also moved for the striker as he is a fan of his since his days at AS Roma.
As per the same source, Scamacca would be valued by the Sassuolo club at around 40 million euros which is not a small fee at all.
Sporting director of the Neroverdi, Giovanni Carnevali, dropped a clue about Scamacca's future and he said the following to the media: "Just look at Locatelli: in the end it is us and the player who have decided to accept a proposal from Juventus that is slightly lower than an offer from England..."
Former AC Milan player Locatelli chose to go to Juventus instead of Arsenal despite the Premier League club offering more money. It is a scenario which could happen again, writes Calciomercato.com: it would be up to Scamacca himself to choose between the Rossoneri and the Nerazzurri if both clubs offer close economic offers.
The rumours, however, appear to claim that the Italian forward's preference is leaning towards Inter and not the red and black side of Milano. It remains to be seen, though, how this track will unfold should Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini continue to push for the talented centre-forward.
