Coach Stefano Pioli granted an interview after the derby loss in the Coppa Italia 2-1. He had this to say to the microphones of Milan TV:
"We made a good performance. I got the answers I wanted even though we can't be satisfied with the result. We leave this game with convictions to do well in the future. We have the qualities to do well."
"The team played the game with the intensity that was lacking with Atalanta. The game then became complicated with incidents such as the expulsion of Zlatan but the team did not give up and continued to fight."
"We have a strong push. We lose the Coppa Italia which was an important goal but we are focused on the other competitions which are even more important. We have to continue with intensity and play as we know. There are 4 months left in the season and we have to continue working as we are. doing knowing that the second round will be difficult."
