Malick Thiaw seems to have returned to the radar of AC Milan as a possible candidate in the transfer market window. As widely reported, Sven Botman is the top summer target. But, a deal is difficult now which may be pushing the Rossoneri directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara to look for cheaper alternatives.
In fact, Schalke's sport director Rouven Schröder has confirmed that the German defender who is 20 years old is on the radar of some Italian clubs. Here are his words, reported by BILD:
"There is a lot of interest from Serie A. He is a very good central defender, he still has a long-term contract and fits very well into our team, of course. But he knows my phone number if a club shows interest. Six months ago Milan came knocking for him, so obviously we're talking about a certain category."
As per BIlD, the Italian teams interested in Thiaw, who is valued at 8 million euros, are Torino, Bologna and AC Milan.
