AC Milan's central midfielder, Sandro Tonali, who started in the game against RB Salzburg in Austria, which ended in a 1-1 draw, had this to say to the microphones of Milan TV:
"We knew we were facing a strong and fast team, they hurt us on things we had prepared. It was a tough and complicated game, we didn't start at 100%, they didn't create a lot, but we understood that they could hurt us. We didn't play our best football, but we didn't do badly and we tried until the last minutes."
Tonali concluded:
"We know that in football you can always concede goals, so you have to have great strength inside to react as if nothing had happened. We know how to do it and we did it, but it would be better not to concede. We know that we have to play every 3 or 4 days and we are ready for it."
