Lorenzo Colombo, AC Milan striker who is on loan at Lecce (with an option to buy and buy-back clause in favour of the Rossoneri), is growing considerably with the Giallorossi team. The player granted an interview to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport and said the following:
"Milan has always been my home, I did the whole process up to the first team. Milan raised me as a player and as a person, and I still feel it is part of me."
Colombo added:
"The goal against Bodo/Glimt? I remember it well, it was my debut as a starter at Milan. We were in the period of Covid and Ibrahimovic tested positive on the morning of the match. We were trying the set-pieces at Milanello and the news come from Ibra. Pioli comes to me and says 'look, it's your turn tonight'. Luckily I answered well."
On his idol, Gabriel Omar Batistuta:
"In the 'Pulcini', I had long hair and my coach at the time compared me to Batistuta aesthetically, and also for shooting, which is a bit my main characteristic. I was little, I had heard Batistuta but I didn't know exactly who he was. So I went to see his videos, to study him."
Lorenzo Colombo concluded:
"Today's strikers? I like to watch them all, I like to steal the main features and then try to replicate them. A striker must be complete, I don't like only physical or only technical forwards. You have to have everything: attack the depth and come to get the ball, know how to finish and score. That's what makes the difference between a strong attacker and a somewhat limited one… The strongest? Benzema: it is the most complete."
