AC Milan Primavera player, Antonio Gala, who is an Italian 18-year-old central midfielder has released an interview to Milan TV. Here are his words:
"We didn't start very well, then now we are recovering also in terms of attitude, we hope to continue on this path. The team is very strong on a technical and tactical level. But, also on a mental aspect. Obviously, we must always improve to aim for better results."
Gala on the difficult start to the season:
"It wasn't so much in terms of the game as it was in terms of results, because we've always had the game. Perhaps we lacked that desire and that hunger not to concede, which instead we are now finding again and therefore the results are coming, now we must continue with this desire. We must not settle on these results but we must continue to achieve them, because in any case we have 6 points in the championship, even if we played very well all the games. We must continue to score points and absolutely reach the playoffs."
On playing the Youth League:
"As we know it is very difficult, this does not mean that we have to let go: it takes a moment to score 4 points, but also to score 0 in 4 games. Obviously, playing in Europe is a dream, from an early age one says 'I want to play in the Champions and Youth League'. Now that we are here we thank the first team, it is thanks to their victory in the championship that we are here, we want to take advantage of every opportunity."
Gala on the Primavera teammates:
"They are doing well, they have integrated well. I, like Coubis, El Hilali and Alesi, are among the most experienced, but the younger ones give us advice when we make mistakes as we do with them."
On coach Ignazio Abate:
"He is a coach who can give us a great hand because he has lived in this environment for many years, but above all because of his attachment to the shirt, which he really wants. Tactically and technically he wants to give us the courage to play, whether it is against Chelsea or Cesena, we must not distinguish between Youth League and the league."
On his start of the season:
"I am not very happy with what I have done so far because I have alternated too many ups and downs this season. Now I hope to improve more and more and find continuity as a mezzala."
On his objectives:
"At the beginning of the year, I set to myself the target to arrive in double figures of goals, now it seems more difficult but my goal remains that, in addition to my debut in Serie A."
Gala on the next few weeks:
"In these weeks, we will train very hard, we will do a lot of athletic work to get back to the top after the break, since in October we have matches every 3 days, we want to start off strong both at an athletic level and in terms of results."
