As highlighted this morning by Il Corriere dello Sport, this is certainly the best season of Brahim Diaz's career. There are still two months left in the season and the Spanish player's haul can grow even further. The key, especially in recent weeks, has been the change in position to the right, where Diaz has more freedom of movement: he can take on defenders (instead of playing with his back to the goal) and create space for his accelerations.
Brahim Diaz's future is still uncertain, however. For now, the Spaniard is focused on short-term goals with AC Milan, between the league and the Champions League. In the summer, his two-year loan from Real Madrid expires, and it remains to be seen how this knot will be untied: the Rossoneri club wants to keep their number 10, but negotiations will have to take place with Real Madrid, who have set a price tag of 25 million euros.
For Real Madrid, given Diaz's progress, there is not only the possibility of bringing the player back to their base and inserting him into their ranks, but also of creating a small auction. Indeed, there are those who would be interested in investing in the player, especially from the Premier League.
In particular, there is talk of interest from Arsenal: Mikel Arteta, the Spanish coach of the Gunners, had Diaz at Manchester City when he was Guardiola's assistant and would like to work with him again.
