AC Milan's director, Paolo Maldini, was sacked by club owner Gerry Cardinale. But, he was offered a different position at the club, which was rejected by the legendary central defender.
According to a news report in Corriere della Sera's today's newspaper edition, the RedBird founder and managing partner suggested that the now former technical area director works for the Rossoneri club as a consultant.
Paolo Maldini, however, has always made it clear that he wants a leading role at the management level. The offer was immediately rejected.
