Among the most active clubs in this early phase of the transfer market, AC Milan is certainly one of them. After securing the signings of Loftus-Cheek, Romero, and Pulisic, the Rossoneri will now try to gift their coach, Pioli, with a new right winger.
AC Milan is working diligently with Villarreal to try to reach an agreement for Chukwueze. The initial offer of around 25 million was not accepted as the Spanish club wants more for their prized asset, whose contract expires in 2024. Furlani and the transfer team have no intention of giving up, aware that it will take time and a great effort to reach the goal. There is already a draft agreement in place with the player for a four-year contract.
A solution from Denmark is possible for the right flank, however. In fact, AC Milan has a preliminary verbal agreement with Midtjylland for Isaksen, a right winger born in 2001 who has been on the Rossoneri's radar for almost a year. Gustav could become the alternative plan for Chukwueze, and in that case, a significant portion of the budget would be allocated to the new number 9. It is not excluded that the Danish player could arrive at AC Milan together with the talented right winger from Villarreal, but this may depend on the departure of Saelemaekers, who is no longer certain to stay under Pioli's management. In the coming days, the Rossoneri will make a final decision, and Isaksen is a very realistic option.
Gustav Isaksen is 22 years old with a contract valid until June 2025. He scored 22 goals last season after 45 appearances with 9 assists to his name. In Europa League, he scored twice against Serie A side Lazio.
