According to what has been recently reported by our colleagues at MilanPress.it, AC Milan's central defender, Simon Kjaer, could leave the club during this transfer market window. The experienced player is not included in coach Stefano Pioli's team, as per the source.

Kjaer still, however, has an important place in the locker room among this Milan team...
The number 24, though, is still seen as an important part within the locker room, especially after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's exit. The relationship between the defender and the coach is very direct and respectful, despite some incidents at the end of the last season. There is mutual respect between the two.
Simon Kjaer could depart AC Milan and it could be a blow to AC Milan on a morale standpoint. However, an exit may be needed for him and the club if important offers are received.
The 34-year-old Danish centre-back, former Lille, Wolfsburg, Fenerbahce, Sevilla and Atalanta player has a contract which ends in the summer of 2024. He's been at Milan since the winter of 2020. Last season, he made 24 appearances with 1581 minutes played in Serie A, Champions League and Supercoppa Italiana combined.
