As widely reported, AC Milan would like to sign a new defender in order to reinforce the team further. Many names are on the radar such as Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth and Basel's Finn Van Breemen. But those are not the only names in shortlist.

AC Milan's director, Geoffrey Moncada keeps an eye on another profile too...
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that, in the minds of the Rossoneri executives, there is the Italian talent Alessandro Marcandalli as well, born in 2002 from Genoa on loan to Reggiana currently.
Standing at 190 centimetres tall, the player with Nigerian roots is fast and technical, the twenty-one-year-old is ready for the leap to the big leagues. And who knows, he might do it with the Rossoneri.
Having grown up in the youth sector of Atalanta, Marcandalli has mainly played in Serie C until now, between Giana Erminio and Pontedera. In the midst of that, there was an experience with the Genoa shirt: after his debut in the professional ranks, he moved to Primavera 1.
Genoa is counting on him (renewing his contract until 2026), and they sent him to Reggiana in the summer to help him grow. This year, he has already made fifteen appearances, twelve in Serie B and three in the Coppa Italia. Milan legend and coach of Reggiana, Alessandro Nesta, has deployed him in the centre of the defence, to the left of the more experienced Paolo Rozzio.
