In an interview with UEFA’s official website, Gonçalo Ramos spoke about Ruben Amorim, his idol Zlatan Ibrahimović and Luka Modrić:
On his first impressions of Amorim:
"It has been very positive and, in a sense, also quite simple because we have a similar understanding of football. The fact that we both speak Portuguese helps us understand each other better and communicate messages to the team more easily. I believe this could be an important factor throughout the season."
Gonçalo Ramos on his idols:
"I know all those great strikers, but the one I followed the most throughout his career and who I consider one of my biggest sources of inspiration is Zlatan Ibrahimović. I have always liked him and tried to replicate some of his movements on the pitch. He is a role model for me, and the fact that he played for Milan makes it even more special."
On Luka Modrić, Ramos said:
"It is difficult to describe him in words: he is a truly special player. After training and playing with him, I told everyone that he is even more special than I had imagined. His quality is incredible, and his entire career shows how much he means to football. It is an honour to have him in the team and in the dressing room. We learn from him every day and can enjoy everything he brings to the group."
