Despite the recent period not being the best, the last two consecutive victories in the league against Fiorentina and Frosinone have allowed Milan to stay close behind the league-leading Inter, who are six points ahead in the standings.
La Gazzetta dello Sport write that the Rossoneri are in need to sign a new striker to reinforce the team of Stefano Pioli in January. In this morning's print edition of the newspaper, Milan is considering advancing the big attacking signing initially planned for the summer to January.
The first name on the list remains the same: Jonathan David from Lille, valued at 40 million euros, a significant request but lower than the 60 million euros asked for by the French club in the summer. Part of this amount could come from the sale of Rade Krunic to Fenerbahce.
AC Milan's priority in January, however, is no secret. The desire is to sign a centre-back, given the setbacks to the many players at Milanello in that position: Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw, and Marco Pellegrino.
A name who is wanted to strengthen the defensive area is Jakub Kiwior. At Arsenal, however, they are not willing to let him go on loan.
