As per Il Corriere dello Sport, the AC Milan club management could already be working on signing Alessandro Buongiorno in the summer transfer market window.
In fact, the Rossoneri tried, but they encountered Torino's high valuation, around 40 million euros. The 24-year-old Italian remains the top target to strengthen the defense, especially if Simon Kjaer does not stay due to the contract expiration.
Milan tried to advance the operation in January, but there was no way to convince President Urbano Cairo, even by including the striker Lorenzo Colombo in the negotiation.
This season, Buongiorno has made 20 appearances for his team, 18 of which were in Serie A where he scored 3 goals and made 1 assist from his centre-back position. The defender who stands at 190 centimetres tall has a contract which runs until the summer of 2028.
