Tuttosport today has outlined the future of Milan's coaching position starting from the 2024-2025 season: it is possible, with an exhilarating end to the season and the victory in the Europa League, that Stefano Pioli could be confirmed. However, it seems unlikely. Regarding his replacement, there are two different coaches being studied: some lean towards a big name on the bench (Antonio Conte), the other towards an emerging coach (Thiago Motta).
According to the Turin-based newspaper, if Milan were to choose Conte, it would, in fact, be a guarantee. Except for Tottenham, he has won with Juventus and Inter in Italy and Chelsea in England. With him, players are maximally valued. Antonio Conte is eager to get back into the game, and the impression is that Milan is the club that, more than any other, stimulates his imagination in our country. If he had wanted Napoli, he would have gone there already, while Roma does not seem to be in his thoughts.
In Serie A, therefore, excluding Juve and Inter, Milan remains the only significant option. Unless the coaching carousel in Europe opens up new options for him. But is Milan seriously considering Conte? Part of the club seems to be, including, presumably, Zlatan Ibrahimović, but there are also several considerations against it.
Conte, in fact, remains a coach of great personality, and hiring him would mean accepting the whole package: a high salary and certain demands in the transfer market, as relayed via Pianeta Milan.
