The investigation, initiated with the search by the Guardia di Finanza at Casa Milan, continues to reveal new details.
As reported by Tuttosport in this morning's print edition, there is an issue, or rather a doubt, which is related to the price which the Rossoneri club was sold for. The rumoured fee is set at 1.2 billion euros, and it seems that the relevant authorities find it very high.
Another issue is that the full amount hasn't been paid immediately, and at the moment, it still remains unpaid (here the vendor loan comes into play).
According to reconstructions, therefore, the reason why RedBird founder Gerry Cardinale has, reportedly, turned to potential investors from the Middle East region, is precisely to bring fresh money into the club in order to repay the vendor loan and make new investments.
