Alexis Saelemaekers is unlikely to be signed permanently by Bologna, despite the positive season he spent. The reason, reportedly, is that the new coach, Vincenzo Italiano, who replaces Thiago Motta, does not see the Belgian fitting into his plans.

Motta's farewell to Bologna represented the turning point of the story. The new coach of the Bolognese, Vincenzo Italiano, wants offensive wingers with different characteristics. Therefore, Bologna, upon the coach's indication, decided not to pay the agreed-upon 10 million euros to the AC Milan club for the definitive signing of Saelemaekers. What seemed like a mere formality, therefore, dissolved within 48 hours or so.

Saelemaekers, therefore, will return to Milan in this first phase of the transfer window but is unlikely to stay there.

According to what is reported by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, it seems that the Juventus new coach, Thiago Motta, who appreciated him so much in the last season, is considering taking him to Turin to have him wear the Juventus shirt. The transfer fee is low. Furthermore, Saelemaekers' salary (approximately 2 million euros net per season) is not an issue. His name could fit into Juventus' transfer market movements, especially in light of Federico Chiesa's probable departure.
