AC Milan accelerates. The new season has officially begun with the press conference introducing Paulo Fonseca and the training camp, and the Rossoneri club continues to work in the transfer market to strengthen the squad available to the Portuguese coach.
With Euro 2024 nearing its end, some of Milan's targets are ready to dive back into the transfer market and decide what their future holds and where their careers will continue.
Besides Alvaro Morata, who will play tomorrow in the final in Berlin between his Spain and England, Youssouf Fofana, a 1999-born midfielder from France and Monaco, is also among these targets.
In recent days, the Rossoneri club has accelerated contacts, leading to a verbal agreement with the French player and his entourage, as per Calciomercato.com.
Milan already has Fofana's agreement for a contract between 4 and 5 years at 3.5 million euros net per season.
Now, they are waiting for Monaco's response to the offer presented by the Rossoneri club in recent days for the 1999-born player: 12 million euros plus bonuses. If a negative response comes from the Monegasque club, a higher bid is not currently planned.
Meanwhile, Fofana is eager to wear the Rossoneri shirt. The midfielder already has a verbal agreement with the Milan club and hopes to join his national teammates Maignan and Theo Hernandez under the shadow of the Madonnina to play with them under Paulo Fonseca.
