UEFA has officially released its Financial Report for the 2021/22 season. The document highlights, among other things, the official prize money awarded at the end of the European club competitions: the Champions League (the richest tournament of all), the Europa League, and the Conference League.

Last season's Champions League saw Juventus and Inter, both Italian teams, among the protagonists, but they were eliminated in the round of 16, while Milan and Atalanta failed to make it past the group stage. AC Milan even finished fourth, while Atalanta dropped down to the Europa League thanks to their third-place finish in the group. But how much did the Serie A clubs that played in the Champions League last year exactly earn?

The total prize money distributed among the four Italian clubs amounts to over 218 million euros. Juventus received the most - driven by the historical/decennial ranking - with over 77 million euros, while Inter (over 62 million euros) came in second thanks to their passage to the round of 16. Milan came in third with over 45 million euros, and Atalanta was last with just under 33 million euros. There are four clubs that surpassed 100 million euros in prize money in this edition of the tournament. In addition to champion Real Madrid (over 133 million euros), there are also finalist Liverpool (119 million euros), Bayern Munich (109 million euros), and Manchester City (around 108 million euros).
