Rafael Leao, AC Milan's attacker does not only have skill for football but also in music as he is passionate about rap. He granted an interview recently to rollingstone.it and this is what he had to say:
"I love hip hop and R&B. Mostly American stuff: Migos, Travis Scott, 6ix9ine, Da Baby, Roddy Rich"
"I really like rapping and I think that when I finish my football career I could do that, in life."
"For now it's just a pastime: I trap, but I speak above all of my life, of the sacrifices to get here. I really admire Jay-Z for everything he has achieved in his career. And now that we are also connected thanks to Milan, maybe in the future I will be able to go directly to knock on his door and make him make a little more money with my songs." (laughs)
On the young team of Milan:
"Having such a low average age creates a good climate. Ever since I arrive at Milanello in the morning and have breakfast all together, we never stop laughing and joking. We don't manage to go to many concerts, between training and matches, and it's a shame."
"I wish I had gone to London to see Drake, but I didn't make it. In my free time, the best I can do is nap, call my family, watch a series on Netflix or play on the Playstation."
"When we are in the locker room we take turns deciding what to listen to. For example there is Theo who has Spanish origins and always puts on reggaeton records. Daniel Maldini also introduced me to a little bit of Italian rap. I like Sfera Ebbasta very much."
"We have in common the lifestyle, but above all the sense of rhythm. That's why, before the match and training sessions, we always listen to hip hop: I don't have a particular song, I change it often, but it's something that gives us a little life and energy."
"I have had great satisfactions from life, but when we start playing as a child we have to give up a lot, and we do it willingly. When I became a professional, in a great team like Milan, it was a huge satisfaction both for me and for my family, which comes from a difficult past."
"Obviously they are sacrifices of a different kind, but theirs are no less than ours. I have a lot of friends who make music, and theirs is a very hard life too, especially when they are on tour."
