To the microphones of Sport.sk, Inter Milan's center-back Milan Skriniar has spoken about his season with the Nerazurri, and was inevitably asked about the win against club rival AC Milan as well as the potential confrontation against their striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the Euros next summer.
- Skriniar on how did the victory against the Rossoneri taste like:
"Sweet. We won an important match, albeit in a competition that was not the league. However, this was our message not only to Milan, but also to other competitors: we are here and we are ready to fight until the end for our place among the best. I think we were better in that match. We handled it according to our ideas. We had many chances, but in the end it was a crazy match."
- Skriniar on whether he has a clear idea of the roles that await him in the duel against Ibrahimovic in the Euros, should the latter return to the national team:
"I think there is talk of his comeback, so we'll see. The only sure thing is that we will have three quality matches in the group. Not only against Sweden, but also against Spain and Poland. We don't just want to take part in the tournament with our team, but we want to show off what we can do. I think there will be fans at the matches, albeit to a limited extent. People will support us, all of Slovakia will be with us during the competition. We would love to bring them joy and enthusiasm after difficult times."
