In recent days, there are those who spoke of a possible new case that broke out in the Milan locker room. The protagonist is Jens Petter Hauge, the Rossoneri winger who was excluded from the UEFA list presented by the club at the end of the market.
An unexpected cut for the 1999 class product, who in the first part of the season also scored three important goals in the group stage of the Europa League.
As reported today by Tuttosport, AC Milan wanted to shed light on the alleged case of Hauge , admitting they had to make a painful cut. In view of the second phase of the Europa League, the Rossoneri have in fact seen the list of players available reduced from 23 to 22 elements.
That is because of a UEFA practice that lowers the number of players to be entered in the absence of products from their own ranks. Hence the choice of Stefano Pioli to leave Hauge out, to allow the inclusion of three new signings such as Tomori , Meité and Mandzukic. It was a choice therefore dictated both by the regulation and by the opportunity to deploy new and perhaps more tactically useful elements.
Hauge has shown he has great talent but has only ever played as a left winger so far. A role in which coach Pioli still has a wide variety of choices in it, given that the availability of Rebic, Leao, Diaz, Saelemaekers and Mandzukic who can very well occupy this position.
Furthermore, the Norwegian player himself did not take the decision badly, realizing that he still has to mature in order to be considered a primary element. It is no coincidence that AC Milan refused some offers for Hauge that arrived in January.
