Milan fans thought that they already had the win secured last night in the Europa League match against Red Star in Belgrade.
Unfortunately, Dejan Stankovic's men managed to score on a corner in the final minutes of the game. Thus, the game ended 2-2. A result, one would say is useful in an away game. But, the conceded goal at the game left the fans upset.
As reported by Corriere della Sera, the Rossoneri team now puts the result behind them and focus on the derby on Sunday.
Certainly, it would have been better to get to the match against Inter with a win, but the team reacted to the defeat in La Spezia and with a bit of clarity and they could have left Marakana yesterday with a victory.
Stefano Pioli, just in view of the derby in Serie A, gave space to many reserves, which however did not convince that much. Perhaps if someone like Ibrahimovic had found space in the final, the score would have been different.
The newspaper also focuses on Mario Mandzukic who started the match. There was great expectation for the 34 year-old attacker. Milan need him at the moment and therefore, at Milanello, they hope that he will soon find the best form.
In two days there is the derby, then the return fixture with the Red Star and then the trip to Rome: three fundamental games to say a lot about the Il Diavolo's season.
