Strasbourg’s defender Mohamed Simakan, was heavily linked with a move to AC Milan back to the previous winter transfer window before German side RB Leipzig has entered the battle and turned things around to their favor, as they were since reported to be few steps away from securing the 20-year-old’s services, with their star defender Dayot Upamecano heading into Bundesliga counterparts Bayern Munich.
According to the latest informations provided by the Sky Sport reporter Max Bielefeld, the transfer of the talented youngster to Leipzig is done, with the last details between the two parties being agreed in the last days.
Actually, the Red Bull club paid 17 million euros including bonus payments for Simakan, who signed on a five year contract with Nagelsmann’s side. Now, only the official announcement is missing, which will be made known in the next days, as reported by the same source.
