According to CalcioMercato, interest has dwindled from Milan for young Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca, despite his increase in production. Scamacca has scored 6 goals in his last 8 Serie A appearances, a big increase in productivity since his winter swoon. The 22-year-old has been loaned out to Genoa from Sassuolo this season, and has appeared in 26 matches and has 8 goals to his name. The young Italian has been rumored to have suitors from many clubs across Italy, including giants Milan and Juventus. The player's production fell off mid season, but he has since regained form and created positive appearances for himself and his club.
Conditions for a transfer this summer have not convinced Milan nor Juventus. It is rumored that Scamacca's value has risen and could be near 40 million. The two clubs feel that this is too high a value for a player that still has a lot of room for improvement. As of now, it appears both Milan and Juventus have other plans for the summer transfer window.
Milan have been in the market for a young striker that can play under Ibra. Scamacca has been a reoccurring name on this list for most of the season. Milan also have interest in Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic, and Torino's Andrea Belotti. Scamacca certainly has promising qualities for a young footballer, but Milan's interest may be drawn elsewhere as of now.
