Milan have some sales to make in order to thin out the squad. Some players return from their loan spells and they apparently will not have to play for their chances within the squad.
Two players that La Gazzetta dello Sport discusses in today's edition are Mattia Caldara and Andrea Conti.
The Italian 27 year-old centre-back spent the season at Atalanta and played very little: only a total of 9 games. The Bergamo outfit, led by Gian Piero Gasperini as coach decided not to sign the player permanently, thus he returns to Milanello.
Andrea Conti, right-back, aged 27 also, did play a little more at Parma. But his stay there was linked to the club's survival in Serie A. They've been relegated and therefore he will not remain there.
These two Italian players do not have great chances of being part of Pioli's squad for next season. As explained by the newspaper, they are overtaken by Matteo Gabbia and Pierre Kalulu.
Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are examining interests for possible departures of the two outcasts.
