It is well-known now that AC Milan have identified Chelsea striker and world champion Olivier Giroud as a potential reinforcement to the club's frontline ahead of the next summer transfer window.
Yet, the veteran frontman, who was only few weeks away from becoming a free agent, has seen his contract unilaterally renewed by the Blues, after activating an option included in the striker's agreement.
Now, and according to what was reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with the France international on the engagement and the duration of the contract, with club's technical director Paolo Maldini along with sporting director Frederic Massara are waiting for the 34-year-old to free himself from his contract with the London-based club to seal the deal.
