AC Milan directors and their team of collaborators are keeping an eye on several profiles in view of this transfer market with Josip Ilicic's name being one of the most heavily linked names to the club.
The 33-year-old Slovenian of Atalanta has been relegated to the bench after being central to the plans of Gian Piero Gasperini for some years. Now, however, it seems that the player is looking for a new experience.
The Bergamo side coach has confirmed the player's will to change air by saying this in the last few days:
"Ilicic clearly expressed the desire to have new experiences... He is preparing to find a team that will give him the possibility to do something important again."
According to what is reported by the daily Tuttosport newspaper, Maldini and Massara do not want to spend a large amount of money to secure the signing of Ilicic. The club is only willing to pay a small compensation right and to waive the bonuses linked to Matteo Pesina's card (who is a Milan Primavera product sold to Atalanta) in order to convince Atalanta of letting the Slovenian go.
