In this transfer market, AC Milan are always attentive to opportunities as they look to find interesting players to improve the overall quality of Stefano Pioli's squad.
The Rossoneri managers could be presented with a great chance to sign their first name on the shortlist for an attacking midfielder: Hakim Ziyech. It could be done thanks to Romelu Lukaku's sale.
According to what is reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan appreciates Ziyech a lot because he is tactically flexible, having the ability to play in different positions. With Ajax, he even played as a mezzala in coach Ten Hag's 4-3-3. For Chelsea, he played on the right as well as on the left besides performing as an attacking midfielder behind the striker.
Thomas Tuchel, however, does not consider Ziyech untouchable. The Morocco international struggled to play First Team football regularly, and that is why he could be on the move in this transfer window.
Chelsea's player could be motivated to join the Rossoneri especially since he knows that he will find a former teammate there, who is Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman would like the opportunity to play with Ziyech at Milan again, as he said in his presentation press conference the follwoing:
"He is a great player, we had a good understanding in the few games we played together, he has a fantastic left foot. The more great players we have on the team, the better we can do. I would be more than happy to welcome him here."
Chelsea, if the purchase of Lukaku completely goes through will have to make some sales in order to thin out the squad. In this sense, Maldini would be ready to take Ziyech off Marina Granovskaia's hands, but only on loan with the option to buy.
The Blues and the Rossoneri respective managements are on excellent terms after concluding the signings of Tomori and Giroud, and maybe Bakayoko could also be a subject of discussion soon, writes Calciomercato.com.
In mid August, when Chelsea are in a rush to sell, talks could start over Ziyech who would be technical upgrade over Hakan Calhanoglu who left as a free agent to join Inter.
