Tiémoué Bakayoko returned to AC Milan after an initial loan spell with the Rossoneri in the 2018/2019 season. But, his debut at the San Siro against SS Lazio was not perhaps what he had hoped for.
Although his teammates won, the French former Chelsea midfielder suffered from Lazio's racist chants directed at him. He was also injured, and he is currently recovering.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Federal prosecutor has decided to to launch an investigation into Lazio for the racist chants of its fans at San Siro.
AC Milan filed a complaint hours after the game with the relevant documents, audio files and videos attached with the file submitted by the Rossoneri. There were also documents presented by the Milan police headquarters.
The Federal Prosecutor will investigate and evaluate the evidence. In a few weeks, we could hear the updates. There is a risk of a fine for SS Lazio club among other severe penalties.
