A big 'remontada' was witnessed today as France came back after being 2-0 under. The match ended with the men of Didier Deschamps turning the table on Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard's teammates. Theo Hernandez made sure to leave his mark on the scoresheet, loyal to his habit with the Rossoneri.
The first goal was scored by the hosts, Belgium, thanks to Yannick Carrasco in the 37th minute. Then, the second goal was scored shortly after by Romelu Lukaku, ex Inter star, currently at Chelsea.
France, however, never stopped trying and always kept believing in their chances. Their attempts paid off in the second half as Karim Benzema put the ball past the net after a good effort by Mbappé who provided the assist in minute 69. The PSG star later scored the equaliser after converting a penalty near the 70th minute.
Right until the game, it was anybody's game. In fact, Belgium scored a goal thanks to Lukaku towards the end which appeared to be the winner. Unfortunately for the Belgians, it was ruled out as offside.
A couple of minutes later, AC Milan's star, Theo Hernandez the flying full-back scored a great goal after a counter-attack launched on the right flank by his teamamtes in the 90th minute. He scored his first goal with the national team of France which was the winner of the semi-final Nations League game.
Real Madrid's Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois could not stop Theo's powerful strike and France were crowned as winners of this thrilling contest.
