AC Milan has been linked with young players lately to improve the quality of the squad available for Stefano Pioli.
The latest profile to add to the list was Alex Collado, as claimed by journalist Gabriel Sans of Mundo Deportivo.
Now, the same journalist has given an exclusive interview to Milannews.it and he confirmed again Milan's interest in the FC Barcelona young talent:
"Milan tested the ground, but not directly with Barça, but through their representative agency. There has already been some contact between the parties."
On the other clubs interested in him:
"Sheffield United were interested and they still are. They confirmed to me that nothing has changed yet and that they need a player with his characteristics. They know him well and would like to buy him on loan with the right to exercise a buy-option, while the player would not want to move with this formula."
What are Alex Collado's qualities?
"Collado is a winger and trained in the lower categories of Barça. He became captain of Barça B. He has technique and overflow, and personality and character as well."
Now, it seems that he is out of Koeman's plans...
"By contract he should be in the first team but it's not the player profile that Koeman likes, who didn't give him minutes. It's a similar case to Riqui Puig or Pjanic. These are players who do not attract the attention of the coach. He does not count on him."
