Well-known figure in the Italian sports world, Brescia's owner and club president, Massimo Cellino, has spoken about the difference between AC Milan and Inter and said these following statements to the microphones of Teletutto:
"Covid has offered an alibi to many clubs, which have raised the issue of losses due to the Coronavirus. But the balance sheets reveal losses already there from previous years. No club is more predictable than Serie A clubs, because at the beginning of the year we already know how much money will go into the coffers and how much will be spent. You can also go into debt to win the championship. Nobody forces you to be virtuous. In addition, maybe you don't even get results, you get emotionally involved and you expose yourself."
Cellino continued:
"If Inter have won the championship with a deficit of 245 million, in reality they have lost that Scudetto. Winning the league title means being able to do it also from the point of view of budgets. Milan, whose management I know perfectly well, has won the Scudetto much more than Inter did."
