Alessio Romagnoli, team captain and centre-back of AC Milan is not a regular starter for Stefano Pioli anymore since the arrival of Fikayo Tomori. In fact, the Italian defender now sits on the bench mainly. However, he has proved to be reliable and always present as a solid rotation option whenever needed.
Now, his contract is set to expire at the end of this current season and he is represented by famous FIFA agent, the Italian-Dutch Mino Raiola.
According to what is reported by Calciomercato.com, Alessio Romagnoli has discussed with AC Milan management a possible renewa and he showed much willingness to put pen to paper.
As for Milan, they would like to continue with the former Roma central defender. However, the economic aspect must be revised. He is currently earning a yearly salary of 6 million euros. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara could offer half of that amount in the new contract. Progress in this front are expected in the coming days.
As for agent Mino Raiola, in his plans, there is the idea of moving his client on a free to Juventus. His comments, recently, and attacks about Milan have made the management annoyed and angry at him. Therefore, the renewal will be a delicate and difficult matter.
