AC Milan's star midfielder, Franck Kessié, whose contract expires at the end of the season is on the shortlist of multiple important European clubs and it appears that Real Madrid and Barcelona are battling for him.
According to what is reported by Spanish outlet Diario AS, the two Spanish giants are in a race to secure two 0 cost signings: Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea in addition to Franck Kessié from the Rossoneri.
Calciomercato.com reveal that no renewal signs have arrived from Kessié's agent yet. The agent of the player did receive proposal from the Rossoneri, but it was deemed low compared to what the player wants. He said to the same source: "There was an official offer from the club and a request from the agent, but we are talking about figures very far from what you are referring to (a reported annual salary of 6.5 million euros)."
Barça and Real Madrid are ready to carry on contacts and conclude a deal for Kessié in case of a definitive failure of talks between the former Atalanta player and the AC Milan management with Barcelona even willing to purchase his card in January while Los Blancos are more interested in a free operation, as per the Spanish media.
