Tommaso Pobega signed for Torino as he came on a dry loan from AC Milan this summer and it seems that he has gained the trust and appreciation of coach Ivan juric.
The Italian midfielder, product of Il Diavolo Primavera, is enjoying a good second season in the Serie A, after having spent a positive loan spell with Spezia in the last term. Now, he is also being rewarded for his hard work by having earned a call-up to the national team of Italy.
AC Milan are hapy with the progress of the talented 22-year-old midfielder. Stefano Pioli, in particular, appreciates his skills and abilities. However, Pobega's future with Milan in view of next season depends on how the Rossoneri midfield will change and how much space he could have, writes Calciomercato.com.
The club management does not want to slow down the growth of Pobega, who chose to go to Torino instead of signing for Cagliari. The Rossblùs were getting ready to welcome the young midfielder on loan with an option to buy, but Torino intensified contacts with Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara as they overtook Cagliari and Udinese (who were also interested).
AC Milan are keeping an eye on Italian striker Andrea Belotti of Torino. However, Tommaso Pobega's card will not be used in the potential negotiations for the attacker. The Rossoneri had some exploratory contacts with Belotti during last summer. But, there are absolutely no intentions to use the Milan youngster in any talks to sign the 27-year-old centre-forward from Torino in January.
