In the next transfer market window, AC Milan will be looking for a defender to replace the void left by Simon Kjaer who is ruled out until the rest of the season, as per a report in Italy.
According to the latest news from Calciomercatonews.com, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are interested in a French defender who plays in Germany: Maxence Lacroix. The centre-back is the star of Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg and he has made 21 appearances so far this season with a total of 1872 minutes played.
As per the same source, Jurgen Klopp also keeps an eye on him and could try to push to sign him for his team. Lacroix, 21, has a valid contract until 2025. He joined Wolfsburg from Sochaux in August 2020 for 5 million euros only. Now, he is valued somewhere between 20 to 25 million euros. However, that price is too high for AC Milan, at the moment, and therefore, it seems that Liverpool could be ahead in this race.
