AC Milan won again in Serie A in the last match of the year. Stefano Pioli, coach of the Rossoneri team, finally led the squad to a victory against a tough side such as Empoli.
One of the heroes of the game was Rossonero number 79 Franck Kessié. In the last period, his performances have been fluctuating and he was under much pressure as he was often criticised. But, he still managed to score a brace which helped his side greatly. Kessié was deployed as an attacking midfielder by Stefano Pioli, which proved to be a fruitful choice.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the brace of Kessié helps keep away the discontent around him regarding the contract renewal issue. The negotiation seems to have stalled and the chances of its extension with Milan appear to be reduced to the bone. Soon, AC Milan will have to make a definitive choice in the market that will please both parties. Many other important European clubs still want Kessié, despite some of his negative performances this season.
