Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Gianluca Di Marzio spoke about the latest transfer market news regarding AC Milan and how Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are planning their next moves to find a centre-back to replace Simon Kjaer.
As per the reliable journalist, Eric Bailly of Manchester United is the player that convinces the most. The Rossoneri management will then decide whether or not to close a deal. This deal can be done as Milan have in hand the yes from Bailly's entourage.

The 27-year-old Ivorian, however, is not the only name for AC Milan. In fact, Nicolo Casale from Hellas Verona who is 23 years old is also liked. The centre-back has a contract running until 2026, and has featured in 21 games so far this season with one assist to his name.
Nicolo Casale, former Empoli and Venezia man, is more of a June target rather than a January operation.

Torino's star Gleison Bremer is a Brazilian talented centre-back who is also proving himself this season. AC Milan are keen on him, but also Inter. It is a battle between the two bitter city rivals in June's mercato.

As for Matteo Gabbia, he can leave on a dry loan move to Sampdoria or Cagliari once a defender is chosen and signed.
