Malick Thiaw was reportedly approached by AC Milan in the last winter transfer market to reinforce the defensive department in Stefano Pioli's squad.
The player in question is a 20-year-old German central defender who is playing for Schalke 04 in the second German division.

Interviewed by waz.de, he discussed the interest of AC Milan in the winter.
Here are his words:
"There were some talks, my agent took care of them. I'm focused on Schalke and I'm still here. God has a destiny for each of us. I prefer promotion rather than being the most expensive player in 2nd Bundesliga division history. But obviously both are possible."
