AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli saw his squad lose 3-0 against Inter in the Derby di Milano. The Nerazzurri, led by Simone Inzaghi, were the superior side this time and they deservedly went to the final.
The Rossoneri tactician, had this to say to the microphones of Milan TV:
"We have never seen a goalkeeper who concedes a goal and who does not protest when he thinks he is conceding an offside goal. They protested for the handball and not for the offside. We lost, I am sorry for the fans and for the team and now we have to react with conviction and I'm sure the team will do it."

He added:
"Inter were better than us because they used the situations better than us. We conceded the second goal after a clear chance inside the area. In the second half, we tried and reacted well. Bennacer's goal? That goal could have repaired the game and not score it created a psychological backlash for the game."
On the missed chances:
"Even tonight, we created dangerous opportunities. But, we were unable to convert them. We will have to try to be more concrete in the last few championship matches."
On the need to show a reaction:
"We have a great opportunity to show what we have become, now we have to show that we are determined, that we have quality and that we want to be protagonists in the league. We expect a difficult match against Lazio but we have the right qualities to do well. We have the will that is necessary to perform well."
Pioli on the team performance:
"It was not the best match. We could have managed the ball better on a technical level, we made two defensive mistakes that we didn't make recently. The result is too clear for the match we played but it must teach us that we need more determination and quality to win."
