AC Milan managers, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara continue to work hard on different fronts in view of next season.
The club directors are planning for a summer transfer window, but they have also not forgotten about contract renewals.

The situation with Alessio Romagnoli is a complicated one. The club captain has a contract which expires at the end of the current season and he could therefore sign with any club he chooses as a free agent. There is a possibility that he leaves Milanello in the summer.

Negotiations reopen:
According to Corriere dello Sport in today's edition, the negotiation for the transfer between the player's entourage and Lazio, which was considered his probable destination, is now stalling, due to a lack of agreement on contractual terms and the possibility of a renewal with Milan is now taken into consideration.
Paolo Maldini, for his part, never gave up on Romagnoli. The club directors always tried to convince him, albeit with a lower salary offered compared to the current one.
Furthermore, the newspaper underlines that, with the change of ownership, there could be big news.

A club such as AC Milan which should always aspire to European glory cannot do with mediocrities who may only be indulged on account of poor economics. Once the club fixes that particular aspect of its administration then it should set its sight on exclusively above average to extraordinary players. Participating in the Champions League consistently well will ensure that the brand stays a desired marque, up there and cash flowing in from recurring success. This is how these things work. The richer you get the better you do, and the better you do, the richer you get. Same as in life.
