In fact, the news is that they have overtaken InvestCorp in the race to buy the club with an offer on the basis of 1.3 billion euros (reportedly, it may even reach 1.8 billion).
According to the Italian newspaper, Cardinale will have an important task once the takeover is complete. He must renew the contract of Portuguese star winger: Rafael Leao.
