SportMediaset are claiming today that AC Milan would be interested in a potential low-cost operation to sign a central defender who has displayed a good level in Serie A already in the last season. We are talking about Arsenal's Pablo Mari.
The Spanish defender who is 28 years old spent the second half of the season on loan with Udinese. He made 15 appearances and even managed to get his name on the scoring sheet twice.
As per SportMediaset, AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are keeping the player's name on their shortlist as an alternative to the top summer targets who are Lille's Sven Botman and Torino's Gleison Bremer. Pablo Mari's contract with the Gunners runs until June 2024 and he does not seem central to the project and vision of Mikel Arteta.
