It is June 27, 2022 and the official announcement of the renewals of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are expected to arrive soon, as per multiple reports. AC Milan, after winning the Scudetto, entered a delicate phase with the transfer of majority of shares to RedBird and the negotiations with the two directors of the club.

According to Calciomercato.com, Maldini and Massara will be on 2-year contracts with an option for the third year plus an increase in their respective salaries. Once everything is done and announced, we can finally focus on the mercato operations.

Already, there is one deal that is secured: Divock Origi. In fact, the Belgian forward who agreed to arrive to Milano. But, it has been postponed due to an injury that also prevented him from participating in the Champions League final against Real Madrid. This evening, finally, Origi should be in town and will be carrying out medical visits before signing on a 4-year deal with a net yearly salary of 4 million euros.

Then the directors Maldini and Massara will be working on the attacking midfield, Charles De Ketelaere, in this sense, is the target for AC Milan. He is 21 year old and the star of Belgian side Club Brugge. But, to be able to sign him, they must put on the table over 30 million euros (which is the fee that was ready to be spent on Sven Botman). According to Calciomercato.com, the Milanese management should be in contacts with De Ketelaere's agents soon to understand if a deal can be done.
