AC Milan's defensive department should be reinforced. The priority now, though, is strengthening the attacking midfield with Charles De Ketelaere getting closer to make the switch to the club, according to the latest news.
According to different reports, there are some profiles who are being linked with a move to the San Siro to reinforce the defensive line in the squad of coach Stefano Pioli. Namely, there is Japhet Tanganga, Evan Ndicka and even Manchester United's Ivorian central defender Eric Bailly.
Earlier today, The Athletic wrote that Eintrach Frankfurt's Evan Ndicka seems to be the "primary target" for the Rossoneri management while Tanganga is more of an opportunity.
Now, in another article, The Athletic are reporting that Manchester United's 28-year-old centre-bakc Eric Bailly is followed by Milan: "It is understood that reigning Serie A champions AC Milan are interested in Bailly, with Jose Mourinho’s Roma also keeping tabs."
With the arrival of Ajax star Lisandro Martinez, it seems that Eric Bailly is demoted even further back in the pecking order with Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Raphael Varane seen to be better options.
