Sandro Tonali was injured during the friendly game against Vicenza and had to leave the pitch. The initial medical examinations yesterday, however, have ruled out musculotendinous injuries to the flexors of the left thigh, which makes coach Stefano Pioli breathe a sigh of relief.
The player will have to recover, though, and will, in all likelihood, have to miss his league debut on Saturday against Udinese. Instead, he could available for the next match at Atalanta (Sunday 21 August), as reported by Il Giornale.
