A disappointing defeat was handed to Stefano Pioli and his AC Milan side last night against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. The Rossoneri return home and find themselves third in their Champions League group behind Chelsea (with the same points: 4) and behind RB Salzburg who are currently first with 5 points.
Chelsea's central defender, Thiago Silva, who is a former Milan player, has spoken to the media after the final whistle of the game last night. Here are his words about the champions of Italy:
"We played a great game. It is normal when one team plays well that the other suffers a little. If Milan had scored at the end first half, things would have changed. I always tell my players: in a match there are many challenges and it was important not to concede that goal. In the second half, we did well and Milan were in a bit of difficulty, but on Tuesday it will be another match."
Thiago Silva on AC Milan and their defenders Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu:
"I don't like making comparisons, everyone has their qualities. The two of them play well, I know Tomori a little more because he was there when I arrived here. I'm happy that Milan won the Scudetto and I hope they can win it again this year too. Then, I hope to win on Tuesday."
