Former AC Milan and Juventus coach, Alberto Zaccheroni, gave an interview to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello sport in view of the match between the two teams scheduled for this late afternoon at the San Siro. Here are his statements:
"At San Siro, it will be a very open match, and a lot will depend on what happens at the start of the match. A bad start could then affect the entire match. I think Milan will play the game: they will show great intensity and rhythm in their midfield. The Bianconeri will have to stay very collected and avoid giving Milan spaces and counter-attacks. The Rossoeri, however, leave something in defense and Juve could take advantage of it."
Zaccheroni added:
"Psycophysical conditions? Neither is very well. But, Juve who are coming from two victories, are more charged. They are better now. But I know Maldini too well: when the results are down he knows how to intervene. Also because Milan are losing a few hits in terms of results, less so in terms of performance. Of course, compared to before, they risk more and finds it harder to materialise."
On Rafael Leao:
"I like him very much, he is very gifted. Like all whimsical players, he has ups and downs. But if he succeeds in the first play then you don't stop him anymore, he becomes unspeakable. Of course, like all young people when something doesn't work he suffers."
Zaccheroni on the Milan team:
"I like the spirit they put on the pitch: they have courage. They even change from game to game based on the characteristics of the lineup of the opposition. Lineups are unpredictable but the spirit does not change and Milan does not stop. The only trouble they may run into is that after a victory, the intensity may drop, the result of last season's success. But, I repeat, Maldini knows how to face these moments, supporting Pioli in the best possible way."
