AC Milan lost against their bitter rivals from the other side of town. A defeat always burns, especially if when a trophy was at stake against none other than the old rivals.
The team looked dejected after the final whistle, naturally. Simon Kjaer, though, did take the time to talk to the media and La Gazzetta dello Sport explained how he 'talked' and behaved like a real 'leader'.
The Danish centre-back said: "We started badly, then it got really difficult. They are good at what they do, but tonight we didn't put in the performance to deserve the win."
The newspaper also mentioned how Kjaer thought about the fans who were clearly frustrated after the match and he said the following too: "We have to apologize to the fans. We have to grow up and take our responsibilities."
La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote the following headline about the central defender of AC Milan: "Words of a leader".
